I've been a big fan of deviantart for a looong time, but surprisingly I haven't started an account until today. I've been a digital artist since 1997 and done a bunch of different things since I got started. Photo Retouch Artist became 3D Artist. Became Concept Artist/Product Designer in 2002.

And since then, for almost ten years, I've been pitching product concepts for over 800 brands. Many of my ideas/products made it to production - almost 60 of them I think. But the majority of the concepts...thousands...never got past the concept stage. And for million different reasons: Some were just silly and not good for whatever reason. Other were over budget and too expensive to mass produce. Some just hit a strike of bad luck - they may not even have been shown to the top decision makers for reasons unknown.

Since a few weeks back, I've been digging through the archives and resubmitting many of these forgotten concepts to render. Why not dust em' off, polish them up and share them with you all?!

Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Fredrik Perman is an experienced designer with a broad range of knowledge and expertise in the fields of commercial artwork and product design. Born and raised in Sweden, he attended Tumba Graphics Centre, studied graphic design, and began his career at the age of 17 as a photo retouch artist with a Stockholm advertising firm. From 1998-1999, Fredrik attended the School of Communication Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina. There he learned 3D computer modeling/animation and was awarded the “Outstanding Achievement Merit Award”. He utilized his 3D artist skills in advertising for a few more years in Sweden before landing a job as conceptual artist for a New Jersey based manufacturing company. This introduced him to product design and the overseas manufacturing process. Six years later, two of which were as VP of Operations, he decided to set out on his own and he founded The Product Farm.
